Saying to read the rabbit hole comments of a transphobic sub is not helpful though. I don't want to sift through their bullshit trying to find an answer to a simple question. And googling it isn't illuminating. When I did find an answer about the abbreviation in this context, it was from a TERF community. I don't want their explanation for it, I want an explanation from someone who's not a raging transphobe, hence why I asked here.

I'm not being horrible to you, I'm just trying to explain why I'd ask something that seems simple to you. So in future you might understand in a similar situation. I asked here because I genuinely wanted to hear you guys explain not some dickhead TERF. I know what it's like to be in the know about a crazy internet rabbit hole, I always try to give explanations that provide context and explain jargon where I can for others, but I know it's hard sometimes to see where the gaps in someone's knowledge might be compared to your own.

Basically I don't want to have to read a load of transphobic rubbish to get an answer.
