Cis Women Who Feel Inferior To Trans Women

You have a skewed image of trans women. Not every trans woman looks like Natalie, or the transgender models she showed in this video as examples of women who "pop", and there are many cis women who do have that confidence, that hyper-feminity, that ethereal goddess quality and who seem to exist only to make you feel bad about yourself.

Do you know a lot of trans people? I think this is something that would be benefited by seeing trans women being normal people just like anyone else. Because they're not all sensual seductresses with beautiful bodies and perfectly styled hair and makeup and smooth hairless perfect skin. Trans women are women who come in all shapes and sizes and personalities.

My girlfriend is trans, and she's a dork ass nerd. She's a gamer, she dresses like a toddler, she's short and chubby and has social anxiety, she sucks at makeup and doesn't know how to take care of her hair. And she feels that same insecurity you do when she compares herself to these images of what trans women should be like. Just like any woman feels comparing themselves to any other woman, because she's a normal girl. Even Contra, I met Natalie when she spoke in DC, and she's breathtakingly gorgeous in real life. But she was also visibly anxious, and not sure what to do with her rising popularity, and then after the event I had a conversation with her about another youtuber and how we enjoy seeing them puke.

It's normal to compare yourself to others, and to imagine other people as idealized versions of themselves while you only see all of your negative attributes. But it's not true. Everyone is human, and has faults of their own, and there's no one group of people who are inherently superior to another, because everyone is different and complicated.
