Drug addict here, opiates are my thing but I've been around the block more times than I remember (literally) with benzos. It's sad that I had to scroll down so far to find a comment like this.

Here's my rant: This whole Xanax craze perpetuated by rappers lately is not good. Mixing any amount of benzodiazepines with even a TINY amount of alcohol is instant blackout. Even if your buddy doesn't overdose, he's going to wake up in jail or worse.

The problem with benzos is that they absolutely destroy your judgment and reasoning skills (hence the shitty charmander tattoo) but they don't physically impair you like alcohol does. Usually when you're drunk, you get to the point where you are so uncoordinated that you can't put your keys in your ignition, or you just pass out. Xanax keeps you physically sober but absolutely wrecks you mentally, so it's very easy to do really really bad ideas.

OP get your friend some help. I stopped snorting oxy and heroin a year ago and I still struggle with addiction even though I'm not actively using, but I'll tell you first hand that when I was on benzos was when I did the worst shit in my life. Things that I never would have done sober (or even on heroin). Really ruined some relationships and hurt a lot of people.

I am so lucky I never woke up in jail with the cops explaining to me that I killed someone or something.

Yes it's funny the kid has a shitty tattoo, but this is just the first part of a serious drug problem, and soon it won't be funny. By laughing at this guy reddit is totally condoning it and saying "lol its funny cause he did a dumb thing!" But this is will only get worse man.
