Whats downtown ottawa to you? just the market? Overbrook was pretty close to downtown. I had a one bedroom for 800 on main and hawthorne, right behind the scotia bank. If youre buying stuff that is meant for one, then youll always be paying the same price (food, housing etc). Using googles "$$" scale to judge prices is ridiculous. yes the food is cheaper here but it cost more. Get over yourself.
