Classic Cars

Stopped reading once I realized the classic car you have needs work, yet you want a classic car. You have one accessible for little to no grand investment and here’s the kicker, they’ll all need work. Your parents are possibly giving you that look due to the fact that they may be under the impression that no example or work has been shown on what you already have available. I grew up digging into friends’ problems, my grandfathers old Chevy. By the time I was in my twenties it was known I would take care of one. Lead by examples. So, how will you pay for this? Credit unions have loans that are easier to get but your age, history, etc you will regardlessly be forced to get a co-signer. That’s a huge gamble for all involved. Either that, or pay cash. Maybe try overpaying and finance through a dealer. There’s different ways but none other than saving cash makes sense. Or borrow from a family member like I did. Also, budget for mistakes. Repairs. Knowledge is expensive when learning. So, you want two classic cars that need working on when college approaches and new careers are knocking requiring fully reliable transportation at all times (my goodness don’t let me start on my accident and insurance stories)? My advice is ramp up what you have. Sell it, save up extra funds here and there while utilizing your truck, then purchase in person with majority cash for something you truly want to have for the rest of your life. That would be my path and only that way, would I feel like it’s possible if I were in your world and individual situation. Start with what’s outside, get it going, let it go, acquire new. Boom. And you won’t have even more debt added onto bills, apartments, relationships, food, pets, gas, school, loans, etc. please be wise so you can really enjoy it all.
