The classic Simpsons episode with Michael Jackson's voice will disappear. Executive producer Jim Brooks says HBO doc Leaving Neverland convinced him to pull it.

Urgh....I hate this knee-jerk virtue signalling nonsense. It was the same before Xmas with banning ‘baby it’s cold outside’ cos a bunch of uninformed wankers said it was about rape (spoiler alert- as usual, the SJWs were wrong).

This is the same shit all over again. Radio personalities in my country are already climbing over one and other to say they won’t play any of MJs music anymore for fear of being insensitive (I’m in Europe ffs- did MJ do anything over here?)

You have to be able to separate the art from the artist. Sinatra beat his girlfriends, klaus Kinsky molested his daughter, the usual suspects is amazing because Kevin spacey is in it not despite of him. And let’s not forget- Jackson was acquitted TWICE. There isn’t even a conviction here, just a handful of people making claims in a Netflix doc.

If we continue down this intellectual ‘everyone must be perfect or else’ cul de sac then there will never be anything but the blandest, shittiest art to enjoy.
