Clinton's Corruption Problem and Saturday's Debate

And into this corruption moment comes Hillary Clinton, who has four big corruption problems. None of them have to do with Benghazi.

The first is that she is intimately related to a foundation that raises millions of dollars on a daily basis from the most powerful corporations in the world.

*This is a charitable foundation which does a lot of good. The only people calling a charitable foundation "corruption" are the Republicans.

The second is that she and her husband have made millions of dollars in speaking fees from the most powerful corporations in the world.

*Every past president and almost all political celebrates charge speaking fees. I'm not sure how that's corruption*.

The third is that a Super PAC supporting her has raised money from individuals representing the most powerful corporations in the world.

*Thanks to the Republican majority on the supreme court and their "citizen united" ruling no president *can* win the general election without "billions" and they won't get all of it through $25.00 donations. Even Bernie will need billions to beat the Republicans should he win the nomination*.

And the fourth is that shared by all candidates -- her fundraising relies on donations from the most powerful wealthy individuals in America.

That's right, shared by ALL candidates......the answer is the same as the answer to number three, if you don't like unlimited money in politics you're going to have to go to the supreme court for change. even Bernie will need billions to beat the Republicans Can you give that to him.

Hillary can not be blamed for the corrupting nature of today's election....if so then the same goes for all of them, including Bernie.

There is just no real corruption here unless you're some kind of rainbow and unicorn ascetic who denounces all money as bad. And another uncomfortable fact is the US is home to a lot of rich people who are not evil and who's needs cannot be entirely ignored in a democracy. The president has to be everyone's president and that requires balance.
