Clipless pedals

I ride clipless for over 10 years. first racing 4x and now riding trails and I have experience with spd and crankbrothers. the systems ride quite different, but I like them both for different reasons.

with spd (used shimano pd-m647 and pd-m424) I felt it was a stiffer connection. the feel when you are clipped in and when you are clipped out is more precise or however you would call it. so clipping in was really satisfying for me. atleast with the setup I used. you also couldn't really move around on the pedal and I never thought about having a small or big platform. platform size didn't really matter to me, because it was a quite stiff connection anyways and I never felt support of the platform.

with crankbrothers (mallet e) that I ride at the moment I really enjoy that I can move around on the pedal more freely and I imagine feeling the support of the platform while doing so. maybe not a direct feel of support, but atleast I had no 'fear' moving around, hard to describe for me. but sometimes I'm not 100% sure if I'm clipped in or not. maybe it gets better if you setup the pedal tighter with the spacer thingys you can switch on the platform, but thats my impression so far.

not sure if the nukeproof pedals ride like the shimano pedals I used, but I imagine they are atleast similar being spd compatible. in the end I would say it's just personal preference like a saddle and hard to recommend either. hope you understood my english and that it was atleast a bit helpful
