The thing is, the store is too huge and there are too many "daily tasks" with too little time for the Merch team to downstock, C&B, and make every single missing tag for the entire store every morning.

Flippin' market reactions can take anywhere between 30 minutes - 2.5 hrs depending on how many there are, media is a never ending tirade of tedious planograms and downstocking, there's a huge crunch to stay on top of everything in the MSFT store, and we're 100% responsible and accountable for functionality (which is tedious, annoying and time consuming as well). All in a four hour shift.

And then you have the downstocker - they get 4 hrs of labor in most rev bands per day to downstock, but that gets completely eaten up in mobile playing cell-phone case jenga, so if it wasn't for the sales staff downstocking, it wouldn't get done.

The written SOP doesn't work; nobody in operations management higher than Ops MGR will acknowledge that it doesn't work, and they keep saying "just get more efficient". Keeping our stores presentable is NOT just Merch's job, it's EVERYBODY'S job.
