The Clubs of Singapore

hmm haven't been clubbing for a while but I'll take a shot:

Zouk (gets all the best DJs) Velvet Underground - yes :) Phuture- 5 guys on 1 girl/ Mambo Nights - lol Zouk Bridge- soon to be gone :(

Ministry of Sound Zirca um.. Fenix Lounge! Yeah its ok. DOM TRAIN! hehe Arena Fashion Club. Been once. It was aite. Attica - all the underage girls

Dom Lounge closed down.

Mink now it's Bang Bang. haven't been but I know people who've gone and it looks fun I guess Butter Factory - omg the bouncers are the worst. Used to be fun when I was younger but seriously those bouncers are really the rudest - think we're super cool kind of people- ever. Avalon - hmm. Like the concept.

Pangaea- zzz smoking room too small. Too X. Dragon Room! Also the music is like Top40, rnb, not interesting to me. ChinaOne - meh. Double O - O man this used to be da shizzles. $5 shots amirite? Now it's like another club I think.

Kyo - I want to visit. Like the concept, underground club! Always wanted to have the cool UK-underground warehouse concept exported to Singaling but alas the lack of a drug scene (good/bad?), long work hours + (gonna generalize here) somewhat repressive creative culture, and this bizarre new 10.30 - 2 drinking rule makes this a huhu :( Although apparently there's a scene of demolition-rave going on. In addition to that new recent one, there was also another mall I visited which was doing an art-punk-rock band demo in a mall.

Ku de Ta - uh. I've been a few times. And also to the one in Bali. The Singapore KdT is ok I guess. So-so music.

Lantern - ok lounge. Izakaya 5 - mm like it :)

Golden Mile - u srs brah? if ur into that kinda stuff - Thai clubs

Ktv - fun :) mansion - haven't been but apparently it's got edm so yay :)

home club now its canvas/ haven't been

I would say the SG club scene is split into several mezzanine levels: 1) ultra-lounge concept (fenix lounge, Pangaea) pay $$$, get dom trains, min spend > $1000 (before I will go uh nuh I ain't paying $200 for a bottle for table lol back in '07, first time I bought a bottle. now we go out min spend is like 1k.. -.-) 2) music-focused (edm/house/trance/techno) Zouk ah. Mmmm memories? Got my t-shirt signed by Dash Berlin there. Velvet Underground 3) seedy/tourist traps- thai clubs, k-tv, dodgy lounges which serve chivas
