CMV: I am a school board member, my wife is a teacher, but it is better to send my children to a private school.

I'm going to be uber-stereotypical here and it doesn't mean I believe it. The situation came from a recent parent-teacher conference my wife had.

For example, what benefit do my kids get from being around the children of opiate addicts who praise the president because he "knows everything" and thinks public schools teachers are a leech on the taxpayer (while ironically not working and I'm assuming on medicaid)? I don't want those people in my life and I certainly don't want them in my kid's life. They bring no value to me or my kids and I don't need their ignorance in my life. You know who is not at a private school; the children of opiate-addicted unemployed people who are too ignorant to realize how ignorant they are. Sure, is it a teaching moment for my kids - yes - but it's better to file those people away in a box you don't have to deal with.
