CMV:The anecdote in this 2014 speech details a sexual assault

My initial thought is that In order to assault someone, you have to take an active role.

The situation as it was described, the drunk person was the initiator of the action at every step of the process.

From phone call to summon her all the way through the end of the sex act and him falling asleep between her legs.. The drunk person was the one initiating, and in fact was actually aggressive about having sex with her.

It would be different if she took some sort active role, such as providing him with the alcohol in order to get him drunk. Or if she manipulated him in some way to come to her when she learned he was drunk (where she could control the situation)

She describes laying there and let him do whatever he wanted to her (and how bad he was at it)
That's a passive role.
