CMV: Artificial Intelligence wont be a problem.

Besides the first few paragraphs of ad hominem, I'd say your entire argument consists of baseless opinions, a lack of understanding of the goal of artificial intelligence, and the frame problem.

I don't think AI will have the technological capability to become malignant if it "wanted" to because the infrastructure just doesn't exist.

Could you elaborate?

After all, AI wouldn't have access to all data (omniscience) or every physical system (omnipotence) even if it began hacking systems

Obviously, what's your point though?

Tricking humans into thinking they're following their leader's orders would be hard because humans are very social, and wouldn't only communicate electronically.

Implying the AI isn't aware of that.

Secondly and most importantly, above every other objection I have, is the frame problem. I don't think that AI will be able to solve it.

But it has been solved. There's actually 8 solutions to the frame problem on the link you posted.

However math is just a human construct to make sense of, catalog, describe and predict the world for our brains

That's just not true. Mathematically "true" statements are objectively true. The only case where that would come into question would be with axioms. That's where the frame problem would come into discussion. Well, again, the AI could be modeled using several of the other logical frameworks besides situational logic and completely avoid the frame problem.

I think that AI would have an extraordinarily hard time interpreting information and putting it to use, and would never be able to think outside-the-box

Well it's nice that you think that.

I'd like to also mention the fact that you didn't actually define AI or address all types of implementations of possible AI. Most of your argument seems to assume that we created the AI out of nothing, and that it would just keep self-correcting itself with no basis or goal. Well, there are more definitions of AI than that. In regard to human brain emulation, almost every single point you made falls apart. Just that you think it couldn't be possible with the grade of hardware we have access to now. Cool story.

If you're wondering why I appear semi-hostile, it's because I remembered this and find it ironic how unscientific your opinion is, while it's highly likely that a computer scientist would change your view.
