CMV: I believe that it's in the employees' best benefit to openly discuss salaries with one another.

I share my salary all the time at work

I started at minimum wage + benefits -promoted x2 minimum wage + extended benefits -promoted again x3 minimum wage, extended benefits, bonus / shares

I'm within reach of c-suite now. Most my team I picked myself and they are all better than me at anything individually. At this point if I want to break 100k+, I'll need to manage more people so I can do less work and focus on direction.

Hopefully, I'll get into the professional development training next summer. Part of me succeeding is others working to move up themselves.

If it doesn't all work out, I'm going to just get comfortable. Maybe I'll get severance but I'll not be satisfied by just pay. After I hit 60K salary there wasn't really much difference.

Back to why you shouldn't share your salary, you might discover someone you liked isnt dedicated enough.
