CMV: Child sexualization in Cuties is not a big deal.

Them showing off as sexual beings is not directly abusing them obviously, but it normalizes thinking about children in a sexual way.

I don't say "don't dress skimpy then you won't be raped". But this isn't about rape. This is about a 20-something talking a (prepubescent) kid into "consensual" sex and neither of them seeing the problem.

I admit, I thought about this whole situation in isolation. I didn't consider wider societal consequences, but I still don't see how Cuties, a movie with a message against sexualizing kids, would lead to some wide-spread normalization of the very thing it criticizes. It seems like a slippery slope fallacy to me.
