Good points. I literally can’t agree with you more, but I think it would be problematic to not take this further. I think in general lawyers need to be fired and disbarred for representing people like this. Like, if you defend a rapist you basically are no better. Nothing professional about it. Also doctors: if they CHOSE to give aid to let’s say, a rapist or homophobe, they need to lose their license ASAP. There are plenty of people who need to start getting fired for “just doing their job”(does that quote sound familiar?): dentists who work on prisoners(and don’t NEXT the ones who did crimes they disagree with), professors who don’t forcefully remove students rumored to be abusers from their class rooms(how are victims supposed to focus in that environment??), mechanics who don’t cut the breaks on a client’s car when they suspect possible racism. People need to start being held accountable and punished. Like, I was disgusted to see trump bumper stickers in the hospital parking lot... how is nobody fired for giving these “people” help??
