CMV: having a "socialist" attitude is the optimal, rational, way for mankind to survive and thrive with no casualities

The issue that socialism often overlooks is that not everyone is able to make the best decisions and work as hard as they can to reach their goals.

Of course this is a generalization, (there are poor people who have no ability to better themselves, and rich that never had to do anything) but this amount is shrinking every year as more and more individuals are becoming connected to the globe and all the opportunities that come with it.

Take high school for example. There are students that work hard to get an A. Then students that work less hard and get a B. Then the next get C's. And so on. Yes, there's a certain degree of luck involved because of the difference in intelligence level and genes from our parents. But high school is far from the hardest thing in the world and if a student does all the work and studies and legitimately puts their all into it, there's a low chance they're coming away with anything lower than a C. For the students that made sacrifices, they know which students didn't make these sacrifices and received poorer grades as a result. If the grades were re-adjusted to make these students get the same result, the harder working student would be bitter and as a result not work as hard next time because most people aren't willing to kill themselves on someone else's behalf.

This is exactly the same view that a lot of self-made people have. They're not trying to hold people down and they're not trying to purposefully hurt them. But they aren't willing to work for someone else, especially when the other person isn't as willing to work for themselves. When they work hard to start their own small business or become a doctor, there's a certain degree of bitterness at the cook at McDonalds demanding more because they never put the same level of work in.
