CMV: The hijab is never a free choice

Indoctrination is an aspect that impedes free choice but another is punishement. A convert who wears a hijab would be free in her choice if not wearing hijab wasn't a sin

Well, presumably you concede that the 1% argument is accurate rebuttal of your own position, since you are shifting the argument.

Anyways, you haven't defined the level of punishment here, and indoctrination via punishment is frowned upon, specially in the west, where there are hijabis. You are also excluding adult converts who choose to wear the hijab, after a lifetime being indoctrinated by a different faith.

Now, obviously there are fundamentalists who impose their will on women to wear the hijab, but they are wrong. They take their choice away. However, you are doing the same in reverse - presuming that they should not wear a hijab because you said so/think so.

Neither should one force the veil, nor attempt to rip it off.
