CMV: "Homewreckers" dont exist because they weren't the ones who were supposed to remain faithful in your relationship.

Granted that most accusations of "homewrecker" are just a coping mechanism to direct the blame at an "enemy" rather than the person they love.

I would however make a case for the "homewrecker" who actively seduces a (otherwise faithful) spouse who just happened to be in a vulnerable moment, possibly in an effort to steal the spouse (or wreck the home).

A vulnerable moment could be anything where the spouse isn't thinking clearly. It could be overwhelming grief or anger or even happiness, I suppose. It could be exhaustion or depression or drunk or high.

Of course it's still also the spouse's fault, but some blame should also be born by the person who intentionally took advantage of a vulnerable situation.
