CMV: husbands/wives should let each other use their things IF there is no other reason to disallow them from using it except for "I bought it so it's mine" or "boundaries"

Thanks, what did you think of the trade off between the emotional support and respecting belonging boundaries?

I have found plenty of examples on reddit where someone came from a family where everything was shared, so they always share their things, then they find themselves living with someone who needs space for their personal items. It definitely comes as a shock to them. I'd say that most likely it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that if they are sharing with their belongings, they will probably be sharing their time / emotional support - and they may not want to - to the degree that they are.

I think there's definitely a duality there.
