I'm not sure how changing your mind would look like given that you are stating an argument that is oversimplified to the point of a strawman fiction. "Marching in streets" does not equal "hating all cops" does not equal being "un trusting" of them". Basing your argument on "a bunch of stories of the same 1 or 2 cops" also does nothing to signal you are willing to engage in any real world discussion.

All this aside, cops are are selected, trained and empowered by the executive branch of a state (given we're talking about democracy here). Their training and actions fall into the responsibility of a public institution.

None of this is true of people who share the common trait, often by birth, of a religious persuasion.
