CMV: If a person doesn't agree with government universal Healthcare, then they must also disagree with Medicare and Medicaid

I plan on thinking about what you said a bit more, but just to confirm:

In our current system, those that have the best deal on their care are those that get insurance through and employer. This group is also (generally) healthy and higher earning than average. This means that they are paying lower premiums and lower out of pocket costs than most people.

That's because employers bear the cost. My company is very transparent; I know that I pay a set fee of $228 a month, and my company pays $1,154 a month.

That's $2736 I'd keep, and $13,838 my employer would keep, and possibly pass to me. Every year. That will easily cover taxes for healthcare with literally no change to me. I might even get more back, since I'm not counting Medicare and Medicaid deductions. And I have a perfectly average salary.
