CMV The Minimum Wage should be based on an economic calculation, not on a fixed dollar amount.

I run a small sandwich shop and i thought it would be a fun exercise to calculate how much i would have to charge for a sandwich if i was forced to pay employees 100 an hr...

Currently our sandwiches cost 9.95 for an 8 inch... but to cover the cost of 100$ an hour, we would have to sell the same amount of sandwiches at roughly $35.00 each for an 8 inch sandwich. This figure did not take into account raises in product cost or salea of misc items such as chips and drinks... take it w a grain of salt, but yeah at this calculation, i would basically working my ass off for the same dollars in profit which means i would be better off getting a min wage paying job and closing shop
