CMV: Motorcyclists shouldn't be allowed to park right up against the side of a store

The point is that it only matters if it does effect others.

Good, so we're in agreement. If you'd read the post, you'd see that I listed 2 instances in which it has affected me personally.

It isn't a double standard because the goal of a parking lot is to make it easy to enter and exit the store.

Is it? I thought the goal of a parking lot was to be a place where vehicles can park.

I think that, if you see a motorcycle and it makes it hard for you personally to get through a space, then you should just go to the help desk or clerk at the store and tell them.

I agree with this, but again, I don't think that I should have to. I'm willing to stop splitting hairs there though - I accept that we have to do things we believe we should not have to do.

It seems like you are expanding this to a moral statement about the world we live in, but that's not what it is.

It may seem that way to you, but there's no basis for that in anything that I have said. I didn't say motorcycles should be banned, or that motorcyclists are stupid, just that they should be treated the same as any other motor vehicle. Or I should be allowed the same convenience. It's not like someone pointed a gun at them when it was time to get a vehicle and made them choose a motorcycle. I'm sorry if riding one is a little more inconvenient, but that's the price you pay for having one I guess. Or, at least, it should be.

And that's my point.
