This is a terrible idea, no offense intended. I appreciate the wholesome sentiment but I don’t see how society would benefit from the government displaying an affront to the reality of economics. No other jobs on earth work this way so why waste time with setting a false example. There is no wage gap in reality. When women produce the same work as men they are compensated equally. It would not follow any laws of economics if it weren’t true. If large corporations could employ mostly women and cut payroll by 23% don’t you think they would? Don’t you think that corporate millionaires value making money over a conspiracy type level of institutionalized sexism? The wage gap holds no water. If you produce you will be compensated fairly as dictated by the market. Society has lost its grasp on this concept and it shows if you watch a democratic debate.
