  1. He’s right? How do you know? There’s hundred of organizations to support and donate to, petitions to sign on top of protesting, etc. You’re aware of what they’re doing in their free time?
  2. Several states are reforming, adding additional policies to their policing and several states are in talks of cutting funding to their departments. Not to mention, for the first time in a long time cops are actually being held accountable for the crimes they are committing. It’s a start, but everthing starts somewhere.
  3. And this circles past to point one. You don’t know what anyone is actually doing to support the cause outside of social media. I have a black square. Is that all I’ve done? No. I’ve donated hundreds to bail funds, participated in protests, made pocket sized pamphlets with a list of numbers and locations we have had medics set up at and a list of people to call if you’re wrongfully arrested. Just because you have no idea how others are participating behind the scenes, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Anyone making any kind of effort is welcome.
