CMV: Pigs are the best animals

Edible:

This isn't really a "more or less" concept. Animals are either edible or they're not, and almost all are. Even if we limited this to western concepts of "edible" this includes pigs, cows, rabbit, sheep, horse, and most birds.

As an aside, pork might be the most often eaten meat, but it is not eaten by the most people. Jews and Muslims abstain from pork altogether, and they account for well over a quarter of the entire world.

Well, they're still eaten more often than horses and i think it's still a point in favor of pigs vs horses.

Kinda hard to measure this point, but I would say "farm" animals like pigs, cows, and sheep are almost never described as "beautiful" whereas horses almost always are.

Yea i might give you this one, but at the same time consider that pigs create beauty in more ways than horses, with cosmetics, makeup etc!

Intelligence:

Pigs certainly are intelligent! There are plenty of more intelligent animals though like chimpanzees, dolphins, and crows. But the differences here are actually pretty minute, specific species of animals aren't that much more intelligent than any other, outside of primates.

This is still not a point in favor of horses, pigs win this one!

Utility:

Pigs don't really serve any purpose, beside truffle-hunting which is so incredibly niche its basically useless. Horses on the other hand are a literal mode of transport, it doesnt get much more useful than that for an animal.

Ah but it's not really a current thing, horses as a mode of transport has fallen majorly out of favor, although i guess you win that category.

But keep in mind, pigs can pull things too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5eYuis-zjU Throw enough pigs together and a sled behind and you might just be able to use them as a mode of transport as well!

I'm sorry but you don't have me entirely convinced on horses, you also have to consider that horses are literal death machines that die super easily, they can't even throw up if they eat poison! and cost insane amounts of money which is a con on availability to the public.
