If you mean to include everyone who gets pregnant (including trans men and non-binary people) it makes sense that you would use a different, inclusive phrase.

I know that people always talk about the difference between sex and gender. But only someone with female sex organs can get pregnant. If you think about it form that perspective, then the term “pregnant woman” is perfectly acceptable.

Exceptions also just don’t make the rules. There are people born with all kinds of abnormalities like extra chromosomes, extra fingers, and male and female sex organs. We don’t need to include every single type of person in our generic terms. That’s ridiculous.
