and actually its technically possible, nuke them all.

even if we forget point 1, you have to understand that putting the religion out of a man can be almost impossible. When authoritarian regimes tried to ban religion in the past, religious people just started to hide, they didn't quit their faith even it would have been a lot more easier and certainly didn't stop raising their child with that

and yet the world would still be a better place even if such situation was to be created. the number of religious people would absolutely plummet.

3) You vastly over-estimate the danger of religion: yes they are thousands of people dying because of religious extremism each year in the world and you can say it's not a good thing but when comparing those numbers to the number of people who dies/died in regular war, or because of famine/lack of health or the number of people who dies in car crash, it shouldn't be a big preoccupation of the world.

And who do you think caused this situation if 80-85% of the world is religious???? it just magically appeared?

You say that no one is born religious but at the same time you can look at human history and see that almost all civilizations created their own Gods. Religion isn't something from another world that was forced onto humanity: it's something for the best and the worst that was created by men because they felt they need it.

yes but from what i gather there hasnt been a single true religion (scientology isnt a religion) created in the past like 50-100 years. we're past creating religions to explain natural phenomena. We could concievably wipe it out and have it never appear again.
