CMV: Sexualization of pre-pubescent girls in Anime is a widely accepted under the guise of 'fanservice', and normalizing it means normalizing pedophilia

Media normalizes and desensitizes us all the time.

Saying that a genre of anything normalizes something else based on a fictional work always suffers from a disconnect.

Other than your opinion on it that seems to be very confident in the belief, do you have any studies or proof for this? I tried searching for and against and didn't come up with a whole lot.

Loli is the portrayal of pre-pubescent girls that are sexualized. Even if loli in anime doesn't normalize pedophilia, it is still unethical. Your example by contrast firstly borders on whether it is
.unethical to begin with(if having sex with hosts is considered cheating), and then it comes to the point of whether it normalizes cheating. So your example is flawed from the get go.

As I said, showing young girls bathing is not sexual in and of by itself. Just like showing cheating in shows can be glorified or criticised. But you are talking about wildly different things. Loli in Anime is never criticised and is accepted as normal. Cheating is at least given a nuanced view that the viewers can then ponder about.

Saying that a work of fantasy normalizes anything has been largely unfounded,

Once again, other than it being your very confident opinion, do you have proof for this?
