Traditional physical and factory jobs, a formerly reliable source of income for many, have disappeared since the onset of globalization.

American manufacturing jobs have indeed declined, however this isn't due to globalization. Manufacturing output in United States has never been higher. The Chinese didn't take those jobs, automation did.

China produces half of the world’s steel, and has stolen a lot of the profits

Out of all the Steel imported into the United States, a whopping 2.9% originates in China. Canada (not exactly a country known for low wages); is the largest importer of steel into America.
