CMV: There's no reason why any American citizen should be allowed to own automatic or semiautomatic guns.

In short, "fighting back gives them a chance to live" isn't broadly applicable.

You are right.

Yes in some cases it may/was beneficial to a persons family to not fight back.

But for others, there wasn't any chance there were going to make it out. It was a known what would happen.

Shit, actually you know what, they may be wrong as well. It is a known today, that they would be killed no matter what. They may not have known that whether they fought back or not, they were going to all end up dead anyways, so might as well fight.

It's a shit shit situation.

You can choose to keep your head down and give in, and maybe end up surviving through it, along with your family.

You can choose to keep your head down and give in, and end up with your entire family killed anyways.

Or you can choose to fight, and maybe just maybe survive along with your family, extremely unlikely. But extremely unlikely to survive is sure as hell better than 100% you're going to die.

Safe to say though, none of us can truly say what they should have or not should have done.

But I will say, they should have had the option and ability if they so choose.
