CMV: Transgenders are prejudiced bigots.

the argument that transgender people are prejudiced and sexist, because the way they identify themselves is based on prejudiced stereotypes regarding behaviour.

transgender people are identifying as such based on how they feel about their own selves and their relationship with their bodies NOT behaviour/stereotypes.

My thinking is that they have a preconceived notion of what it means to be a man or a woman. I think I may or may not have used to word "behavior", but I mean inner mental life. That includes feelings. That they might feel like a more emotional, caring person. I don't know.

People who are transgender know their gender identity just as strongly as you know that nausea is bad

^^ This, as you just explained, as in literature, has nothing to do with body. It's a feeling/concept/subconscious thing. Based on what? Do you know that people with eating disorders suffer, co-incidentally, also from some type of dysphoria? They believe/feel they're fat (on the inside), while they're not. Yes, it's an inner feeling. But it stems from somewhere else. The problem is not their actual bodies.

The only thing nuanced in my view, is I have temporarily suspended the premise

is based on prejudiced stereotypes regarding behaviour.

Because people keep challenging me on it. But when I ask them to explain what it IS based on, I get no real answer.

Again, it's a feeling/concept/subconscious thing. From what I understand you say, and what I actually see written in literature, their inner feeling is "female". (I still don't know what that's supposed to mean. Based on what?). And because their bodies have penises, they'd like to look more like a female, or take hormones, or act more like it (gender expression), so they undergo these changes. But it all start, in the mind. It's not that they have a penis, but dislike the penis, and since they dislike the penis, they think "oh, I don't like my penis, I must be female."

Right?

I think I need a more technical, clear-cut explanation. I think it's in that paragraph that my disease lies. And we're getting off-topic because there are complex multilayer PREMISES that are being challenged. So my CONCLUSION is directly extracted from those. So we have now deviated to discuss said premises because without that, my conclusion remains the same.

Also, did you read the quotes I edited in?

The off-topic rest:

But something simple like adjusting your language? It's SUCH a simple, inane thing to do.

You obviously don't know me. The #1 thing I get in trouble for is refusing to adjust to "protecting people's feelings" when I think their reasons for it are stupid, or illogical. Or plain and simple, when it's a waste of time and efficiency. I LOATHE the notion of protecting weak people's feelings when it's their own thinking that's causing the discord. In fact, I could argue it's immoral. (But won't, of course.)

Probably not the hill you want to die on.

Well, it's no secret I'd be crucified over stuff like this. I need to worry I won't be doxxed by this post actually, by some hateful person(s) ready to "out" me. I could just play the PC, or legal, or "you are in superior societal moral power over me, I'll lose if I contest you over this" game, but if you put yourself in my shoes, and take on my view, and see yourself having to succumb because it's the best thing, and knowing my personality... You'll see that some sort of intense aversion, if not even hate, will always exists, and obviously, will come out in other ways, because nothing is worse than not only being forced to participate in, but also not even being able to have a conversation about what you believe/feel is morally wrong. Try to picture it. They can do what they want. But I'm forced to pretend I agree by using those pronouns.

ideologically opposed

I'm not "ideologically opposed". I think there's something wrong with the thinking and refuse to coddle irrational behavior. I don't view it as a simple opinion, I view it as fallacious reasoning. The psychology part by the way doesn't come way until after I've finished the base medical training and am considered an official medical doctor. So as of now I have no "psychology professors".
