God, I share the same exact views. I immediately got hooked to the novel because of how smart he was but this chapter just made me annoyed at him.

I mean, what's the reason for him mentioning those stuff besides just him being arrogant and wanting to show off in front of Chen Yue?

Another negative thing I see is that he already considers Ye Zi Yun his. Is he planning to tell her that because they were together in the "previous life" and that he knows stuff about her, that they should be together in this "current life" as well?

Ye Zi Yun fell in love with him because they were stuck together after evacuating the city. They shared a lot of time together. They shared lots of life-and-death situations together. Those reasons could be the only reasons she fell in love with him. If the city wasn't invaded then there's a chance they wouldn't even have gotten close.

He didn't think about what she might feel or what she might think when he mentioned those things. I can even see her putting up her guard against him just because of the things he mentioned.
