CNE to kick off behind a picket line as labour dispute looms large

Regardless of the union aspect the Ontario government protects all workers. Our stat holidays aren’t going away and I don’t think anyone is too worried about child labour laws.

Unions were important for building a foundation for workers rights during a time when there were none. Now we have equal rights for all workers and unions have mostly become a joke. Overpaying for labour because of seniority isn’t a priority for me. Fair and equal pay for everyone is. Unions are a dinosaur concept and provide extremely one sided benefits for a small fraction of the workforce.

The whole narrative that “my family is a union family” makes me nauseous and it’s a serious entitlement.

Life goes on alice and you should probably shift your priorities to more important things if you’re worried about the future of your family.
