CNN discovers identity of Reddit user behind recent Trump CNN gif, reserves right to publish his name should he resume "ugly behavior"

If the threat has any merit then go to the police without releasing/publishing the info to the public, that is what I meant.

I've had people threaten to kill me online. I made a few youtube videos (with my face in it) a few years ago, just playing a video game. I had 1 guy keep commenting that he was going to kill me. The comments were pretty fucking sinister. The threat had no merit. Unless he let me know that he had info of who I am, where I go to school or work, live, who my family is, etc. then his threats mean nothing. The internet provides a shield; nobody knows your identity. Some people that have anger issues will then voice their opinions...very openly.

For instance, say that I had a lot of anger. I'm driving and someone undeservingly honks at me. Instead of doing anything to that person that honked at me in real life, I get online and talk about how much of a piece of shit that guy was and how much I want to smash his stupid fucking face in. Like, I talk as if I want to track him down and set his house on fire. That's what a lot of people do online because of the anonymity. Some people will pretend to be sociopaths for attention or for a stress reliever. It's just what a lot of people do. I've said some pretty crazy and racist things to myself just to see how fucked up I can go; that's what a lot of people do on the internet (which I stay out of). That's why I don't spend much time on the internet
