Nah, I recognize it for what it is, the natural consequence of a lifetime of capitalist indoctrination. Very few can see past the “success” narrative that capitalism has brainwashed us to believe. We grow taught to idolize those who have “made it”, and for the majority legal equals moral. It’s incredibly hard to lead someone out of that mindset when the entire rest of society is congratulating them for it.

Watching them leverage their well paying white collar career into slowly becoming a parasite that only seeks to add more to their “portfolio” so they can stop working has been heartbreaking.

Unfortunately under capitalism there are only two option, exploit or be exploited. Not many have the convictions to stat amongst the working class rather than become the exploiter given the opportunity.
