Coachella Twitter reminding everybody to vote and “fix this shit” doesn't go down well with everyone

"Politics is not a zero-sum game" used to actually be a relevant phrase about meeting in the middle. The idea is that you don't vote to get all the things you want, you vote to get the most important things you want. And you sacrifice what you have to to get those things. This means both voters and elected officials that also have to vote on things. That original usage is decent and thoughtful.

But now it's "if you dumbass liberals don't want to deal with Trump then that's your fucking fault"

...as if there is any actual goddamn middle anymore, what with the president changing the rules and moving the goalposts every day. Where is the 'middle' anymore? Nobody can tell you because it doesn't fucking exist.
