Coca-Cola and Pepsi’s deceptive tactic to stop soda taxes worked in Washington state

What proof do you have that most voters who voted for this were manipulated by companies?

The ballot. The question itself and its concept. This is no conspiracy.

You very much did say the people were manipulated.

The average voter, voted for this... The majority individuals of the state agreed on this. This wasn't some legislation voted on by the state house, this was a vote of the people. The people decided they didn't want the local cities or states to put these taxes.

I think you are confused here. Because the City Council voted for the soda tax, the citizens of Seattle did not directly vote for it. So this is the opposite of what you claim. This is the people saying they don't want local government to decide to tax their food.
