Cocktail Recap! April 08, 2019

Just tried something I'd been wanting to do for a while, make a cocktail smoked with one of those Thai aromatic candles(tian op) that are used to smoke some thai desserts and khao chae rice.

I smoked some Clynelish with one, then made a sort of old-fashioned with it using Thai bitters and palm sugar syrup. Didn't work at all, I thought the smoke would be light but it was really intense. It needed a less spirit forward drink.

After that I tried again using 2oz tian op smoked Clynelish, .5oz Cynar, .5oz Carpano Antica, a bar spoon of palm sugar syrup, and Thai bitters. Worked way better.

This will need a lot of tinkering but it's looking promising.
