[CoD] If I had a cent for every time I heard a slur in CoD I would have over 100$, which is not a lot of money but it is a lot of slurs

I think the people that can't comprehend why anyone would defend the type of chat that occurs in examples like MW lobbies have never played a sport or actually partaken in a competitive activity.

is natural for humans engaging in conflict. It serves to psychologically boost ones confidence while also attempting to demoralize your opponent as well as to anger them so as to invoke a blunder or misstep.

As for the use of racial slurs; people are very short sighted to accredit racism as the causality. The majority of trash talkers are not racist, they simply say what they think will ruffle your jimmies the most. If people were offended by being called "pink unicorns", that is the "slur" you would have heard in MW lobbies.

I'm going off on a tangent but this all comes down to a fundamental problem with our society in which by trying to prohibit certain speech you actually eternally enshrine the hate you aim to abolish. If for example, people would universally refute the "n" word as hateful and recognize it as the useless word that it is then it would hold no weight and it would be as offensive as being called a pink unicorn, thereby it would be used derogatorily to the same extent.
