Cold War be like

The ‘Holodomor’ shows that the Soviets exploited people? Let me guess, you think the holodomor only happened because Stalin was some evil guy you hated Ukrainians, and wasn’t caused by many factors including drought, inexperience with modern tech, millions of people moving from agriculture to new industries, Kulaks burning and hoarding grain?

Who cares what the modern day Russia is doing? What does that have to do with anything?

East Germany was the bread basket of Germany before the war, and was mostly full fields for growing grains. The fact it in anyway competed with the West is impressive given that the East was historically poorer and having a much lower population due to it being mostly for agriculture.

North Korea and Ukraine were being exploited? How, North Korea only had issues one the Eastern block collapsed, it seems the Soviets were overall good for them since it provided them with a trade network. And the Ukraine was a region of the Soviet Union, and it is an absolute breadbasket. Of course the majority of food was going to be grown there, were else would they grow it? In Siberia?

Why would Gorbachev star in an ad for a western food chain after helping dissolve the union? If he in anyway cared about preserving it like the people wanted he wouldn’t of done such a symbolic action.

Give me a minute to figure out how to link stuff over phone.
