A cold while pregnant is SO much worse than normal

Yeah exactly, it's super common for people to misreport intolerances or normal side effects as allergies. E.g. if they got a yeast infection or upset stomach after taking an antibiotic. Obviously no one wants yeast infections or upset stomachs, but confusing those with true allergies can mean they're forced to put you on a different antibiotic that's less optimal for a future infection, and may cause the very same side effects anyway. It's becoming more routine here to check the characterization of new reported allergies just to be safe, and maintain all beneficial options in absence of a true immune allergy. (My favorite allergy on an inpatient med list one time was "pancakes" - there were no other allergies listed to the few extremely common ingredients in pancakes, or to any overlapping foods. Couldn't figure that one out.)
