This Colin/David Jaffe conversation...

My point wasn't about whether his arguments hold water - it's that his appeal to his audience as someone with seemingly endless finger-waggy industry takes (like the ones you listed above) pretty clearly all ties back to everything about his split from KF. People aren't stupid - if they're subscribing to his patreon they know his story of getting run out of town, and he really has no issue reminding people about what happened. We're literally on a thread for a podcast where he's talking about it again. You can casually scroll his Twitter and find him replying "thank you" to people giving him props for his success despite his excommunication, or proudly saying that they don't even ask for review codes anymore because PR stopped replying to their emails. Part of his schtick, brand, whatever you want to call it, is that he's the "insider-turned-outsider" with an axe to grind because he wouldn't fall in line, and he plays it up.
