The story so far...
Colin Moriarty tweets a joke about the Day Without Women protest. Many people found the joke in bad taste and people in the industry tweeted him directly or about the situation to profess their disapproval.
Colin then responds to a reply from a fan by calling those who didn't find the joke amusing 'humorless sacks of shit'. This added fuel to the fire, even those who didn't take issue with his initial tweet likely viewed this as poor response, purposefully antagonizing people.
Colin then retweets Dave Rubin who defends his comments, likely further antagonizing people.

Time passes, Greg Tweets an apology on behalf of Colin and states that that Colin will NOT be attending PAX East 2017.
At PAX East 2017, Greg states that he and Colin had discussed the Tweets.
The whole issue seems a mess, blown out of proportion yet Colin likely knew this backlash would happen as people have started to become somewhat tired of Colin's actions and exacerbated by the way Colin acted just adding fuel to the fire which is par for the course with Colin. Really, it seems like the straw that broke the camel's back rather than the true reason - Tim and Gregg's Tweets prior to this, 2 people coming out against a colleague shows that things must have been serious and the relationship strained for quite some time.
