College Football Looks: Part II. You're going to be mad.

Copy/Paste from yesterday because you listed your p12 ranking

Alright, so I did this based on the new uniforms released for this year or the uniforms that the team wore last year if they haven't announced a new set. Just my opinions: 1) USC. Pure. Perfection. 2) Colorado. I didn't think that messing around with black and gray alts of one of the greatest looks is college football would work, especially since I don't like gray alts really, but all of Colorado's looks are amazing, (though I don't really like the stormtrooper look, but more because it's played out than anything. The "boring" classic away is pretty great too. 3) Wazzu. Not flashy, but Crimson is a great color and they did away with the mismatching grays they've been using in the past that looked awful, (well, they could still wear two different grays, but until they do they're here). The grays now are great and are a school color to boot. I only wish the lighter gray helmet that's on Falk wasn't a matte finish and was a more "normal" finish. 4) ASU. These have really grown on me even within the week. While I still hate their trash-bags-with-numbers-made-from-purses look, (Another version), when they stick to the classic looks or even some mix and match, they do look pretty good. While I really hate the asymmetrical thing that's in college football right now, ASU's got a solid look. That said, BRING BACK SPARKY. 5) Cal. I've only seen this one and while I think it's a downgrade from last year's, I am glad they got rid of the weird pants stripes and think that this year's are nice enough. 6) Oregon. I don't think they can go anywhere else than in the middle. On the one hand, we have great looks that still push boundaries and we're capable of amazing looks, but we also have some real shit. And shit like these. Ergo, I think right in the middle is where Oregon should be. 7) Stanford. Rather boring, but not bad. I like the ax helmet stickers but otherwise there's not much to say. 8) UCLA. Mainly I just love the color, but these are not GREAT to me right now, though they'll probably jump up once I see them in the SoCal sun. 9) washington. Go back to the C 2013 look and you jump to 2 or 3. As it stands, their whites are solid enough, but the purples and the blackouts drag the set down. I HATE the black shoulders on the purple and I find the armpit triangles distracting, (I know they're "husky stadium's jaws" but when they also appear on several other team's jerseys, I'm not buying that). The blackouts are illegible and unnecessary. washington has a unique color scheme and one of the best helmets in college football. Get rid of ALL alternate helmets, (white, chrome, black, etc.) and just roll with the classic. 10) OSU. I actually like the Beavers look more than most, but it's hard to find good photos on the internet. I LOVE this look since they got rid of that stupid facemask stripe that you see, (though I can't find a picture), and they mix and match pretty well. That said, the Beavershark logo is awful and I also don't like their gray helmets. Use the old Benny logo that you used for the spring game full-time please! 11) Arizona. The whites salvage this look, but there's so many problems. The red chrome looks awful and the red matte looks like a toy. The blue and red uniforms have no contrast between the numbers and the jersey and that font is just awful! That super dark blue that #13 is wearing looks pretty badass to be fair, but how does Arizona keep fucking up red, white, and blue? 12) Utah. I know I'm gonna get shit for this one, but they combine a whole lot of bad trends. I'm tired of the satin look. I'm tired of stormtrooper. I'm tired of blackouts. I'm tired of chrome. I really don't like the black helmet with the oversized logo. And those pant stripes? Bad. The jerseys are OK, but add in the helmet and the pants and it's a no for me, dawg. I spent WAYYYYYYYY too much time on this so hopefully SOMEONE reads it and clicks the links.
