College student who worked her ass off and worried she’ll get nothing

Hey, you know the product better than she does and its your passion. I'm gonna be honest, you can't do anything right now except hope, she might give you equity however I doubt it's gonna match up to the work you've put in from the start.

What should you do? Start your own venture, you've got the contacts, build your own brand despite her brand popularity at the moment. You know how she did it, but only do this once you sure she wont give you equity or compensate you.

I'm not saying jeopardize her company, but take her Angels, convince them you'd be a better choice for investment but only once you can prove it. While still working in the business, make sure it doesnt reach its potential (that is without your involvment but still do your part here and there)

Make sure you do what she didnt I.e. Ask for funding from friends and family to get things off the ground. Get a killer website, social media pages and marketing even without a fully working product just to build the hype and I guarantee you, it's gonna be a tool when you approach an angel.

Sometimes you have take a stand for yourself, your friend sadly is feeling the normal feeling every person feels before getting attention from funders. Take a stand
