College women of Reddit, what is your major, and why did you choose it?

Psychology and anatomy. Was torn between psychology and medicine. I’ve decided to pursue medicine once I graduate. Interested in both as ways to help people and because both the mind and body fascinated me. When I was first deciding, I hadn’t been exposed to just how many careers there are in health.

I was interested in psych for the reasons above. I thought I would pursue a career as a psychologist when I enrolled in a BPsych and the more I studied, the more I loved the field - at first. Social psych and developmental psych were my favourite subjects. I took a 2 year break from uni and went back and I’ve lost the level of interest and the motivation. It’s still fascinating but i don’t feel any passion anymore and I dread my psych subjects tbh.
