As someone currently in college:

Should everyone go to college? Probably not. Some people just aren’t good at it, and there’s always jobs that don’t require a college degree. There are issues with colleges campuses being rather one-sided politically (last month posters for the “socialist revolutionary party” or some similar bullshit popped up at my campus) and there are definitely crazy people in academia. It’s not as much as the right says, but the left can be a little too dismissive of it. Nonetheless, overall, it’s definitely a net positive, there isn’t a better way to learn scientific reasoning, analyzing sources at a deep level, etc.
