Colorado is expecting another explosive wildfire year, but the state may be more prepared this time

2 months later ...

I so wish we were wrong. All that rain and we're still looking at possibly a very smoky summer yet again because the western part of the state and other western states are becoming a tinderbox yet again.

Sigh. Here we are breaking all kinds of heat records again and it's only mid-June.

People used to get annoyed with me online at various places because I was passionately upset that nothing was being done about global warming and I thought that everyone's complacence was literally insane.

Now I've just come to accept that humanity is a failure and it was dumb of me to expect anyone to care — until it was too late.

I guess I should think about moving myself and everyone I love away from CO. Being trapped indoors due to smoke isn't a good way of life.
